Aquamarine dome
erased clouds.
Leaves trap the breeze
bright as bluegills.
Cats nap to the charleston.
The merlot cools
swished by radio static.
The world unfocuses
sparrows blur overhead.
Evening arrives
fashionably late
gregarious as summer.
The day collapses
the last page fades.
A slender moon goes to press.
